Pastoral Care Workers are trained to relate gently and skillfully with the inner world of individuals from all walks of life; the element that go to make up that person’s sense of self, their inner resources, resilience and capacity to cope. Pastoral Care Workers are not Counsellors or therapists. They are personal relators operating under a positive motivation that has no strings attached.
They employ holistic approach to the whole person. The aim is to explore the clients (patients) Inner essence in all Interactions – In reality the inner world of individuals. Pastoral Care Workers are historically Christian but in modern times and trends have a widened scope covering multi -faith communities, caring for the sheep, the role of pastors.
